wednesday late post.

I had the whoooollle day off of work today, man I love Wednesdays. Not that I don't enjoy my job at the shop, it really makes my heart smile... But to have a full day to yourself, to do only what's on your to do list, or simply nothing at all? I'm just sayin', it's something I look forward to. Today's off day was especially heart filling, because it was spent doing all housewifey things... Just the way I like it. 

Simple. 

I seriously DO NOT like when people complain about how life is soooo crazy and yada yada, but lately I have felt a little overwhelmed myself, so today was super nice :)  

A clean house, fresh baked pumpkin bread & Christmas music all before noon? ... Yes, today was a day in need of some Christmas music, don't judge. Pure magic! Now I'm off to enjoy some homemade enchiladas & some Kung Fu Panda 2.

Oh! And little boy bump, in case you missed it yesterday :) he's weighing in over a pound now & about 8.5 inches long, not including his little legs! Woohoo!

today i turned my pumpkin bread into boo bread! i went with muffins instead & topped them with cream cheese frosting for the ghosties. yummmm. they were definitely a hit.

aaaaaand, then we went to the romeo's to carve! my pump turned out SO good. it was a wonderful night spent with friends & fun halloween festivities.

last friday marked the official start of fall. since then, it has been a down pour of rain & a whole lot of snuggling. i tried to wait as long as i could but i couldn't hold out any longer... the kitchen & i teamed up to make chocolate chip pumpkin bread. deeeeee-lish.

THIS is my favorite treat between the months of October and February. SO yummm. i'd give you the recipe... but then the secret would be out & i can't have just ANYONE being my father in law's FAVORITE daughter-in-law. wouldn't be right. [[side note: chris is the only son.]] none the less, it's kind of my thing. we'll see if the loaves i made make it through the next week without being devoured... here's hoping!
