Annual Estes Park Trip

So glad Chris & I were back from Missouri in time to go on the Grant Family's Annual Estes Park Trip. Estes Park is GORGEOUS in the Fall. We had such a wonderful time. We had a cabin, hot tubbed, carved pumpkins, listened to the elk bugle, you name it. It was perfect & so relaxing.

A Halloween-

Colors of Fall

This is the fence in our backyard. I love Autumn days like today. Drizzly & Cool. Nights on the deck with a fire & our family, sharing good food & even better conversation. Scarves on, bundled in blankets, loving one another unconditionally, and not worrying about life. Thank you Lord. Thank you Lord for this beautiful family. Thank you Lord for Colorado & all of it’s beauty. Thank you Lord for this wonderful life. Thank you Lord. :)

home sweet home :)

Home sweet home. After a loooooong drive, we are finally home in Colorado. We were blessed to come home and spend our first night with the Salvaggione half of our loving family and have a homemade Italian dinner. Colorado is so beautiful & our family is such a blessing. Although I have considered Chris’s Family my family for a few years now, it is so wonderful to have “married into them.” Each and everyone of them has something special about their spirit that I love, and I am thankful for them everyday. Here is what I want to know… who came up with the term ‘in laws’? Brother in law, sister in law… I’m not into it. I mean, we are all brothers and sisters in Christ right? I don’t love them because Chris and I are legally bound by ‘law’… I love them because they are my family, my brothers & sisters. So, I’ve decided to make a change and call them my ‘in loves’ because that’s what they really are :)
Hopefully this will catch on. Wednesday we are going to spend an evening in Pueblo watching Nicole’s husband Andy play, he is WONDERFUL! Then Sunday we are having our Salvaggione Family Pumpkin Carving Party… BYOP, bring your own pumpkin of course :) God is so good. I am so happy that He has blessed me with the people in my life, and that He has allowed me to be a part of His plan. I can’t wait to get up to Fort Collins and see the other half of our family! Life is wonderful. God is great. Love and forgive one another. Be Happy!! I love you!! Hilla :)

Goodbye for now STL...

Happy Sunday! Today consisted of packing, and more packing. In about six hours we will be getting in the car and heading out to our home sweet home, Colorado<3 It is about a twelve hour drive and Chris and I will be in two separate cars with our pets. Me, little H-bomb & Bells… Chris & Harvey. It will be a longgg day but well worth it at the end! Living in STL has been a great experience for Chris & I. I am so happy that Chris’ dream finally came true of being a Professional Soccer Player. I admire him and am amazed by him SO much. He truly has been so patient with this process & I am happy that he stuck it out and trusted God with it :) I ended up making some WONDERFUL friends here, & really became attached to the dancers I was privileged to teach at Dance Art. I am excited to hopefully come back & pick up where we left off! I am going to miss everyone so much, and as silly as it sounds, I am thankful for Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, etc. because although it can sometimes be wasted time spent on the computer, it really is a great way to keep in touch with people! I can’t wait to see my family & friends in Colorado. It has been too long, and I am so happy that God blessed us with the freedom to be able to go back and spend such a long time there, especially for the holidays! Pray that we have a safe trip home! I will be updating along the wayyy! Love to all :)

Family Halloween Fun.

Family Halloween Fun :) I LOVE Halloween. Dressing up and having a good time is definitely something I love to do. My sisters and I hosted a family Halloween Party complete with, Mummy Dogs, Spider Balls, Backbone Roll Ups, Scarecrow Cookies... although they turned out looking more Amish hahaha, and so much more. Chris... dressed up like a girl, now that's a real man haha, I went for the lady bug & we even dressed Harlow. lovelovelove my family & loved this night.

happy fall y'all

Happy October! Although I believe there is beauty in everyday, today is the first day of my favorite time of year. Fall & Winter bring us cold weather, which is my favorite kind of weather for a few reasons.. First: Fashion. Thank you, thank you for layering! Boots, socks, leg warmers, tights, leggings, thermals, vests, hoodies, jackets, gloves, hats, and of course.. scarves :). If that’s not enough, let’s talk goodies. Halloween—candy<3 Then there is Chocolate Chip Pumpkin Bread, Texas Trash, Cookies, Starbucks, Muddie Buddies, 7 Layer Bars & let’s not forget Thanksgiving&Christmas Dinners! My third & favorite reason for loving this time of year is LOVE. We all feel it. This time of year people can’t help but feel warm&loving. I believe that people are more aware of Jesus and His love for us, and they want to share it. It is SO wonderful. I am thankful for the changing of leaves & the the chill in the air that comes with Autumn. I am thankful when the snow keeps us from going out & we are brought back to basics. Movie watching, games, sledding, baking together & interacting. In my mind there is nothing better. We are on this planet for one sole purpose. LOVE. Love our God & love one another. Everything else is just added extras to keep things interesting..little blessings that God somehow thinks we are worthy of even when we sin against Him time & time again. It blows my mind how much God loves me. It is so overwhelming, in a good way, that there is no way I can’t love Him back :). Take a minute and think of the person who you think loves you most… now times it by infinity & beyond.. yep, that’s God. God knows every thought you think, every word you speak-even before it’s spoken, every good doing, the bad ones too.. He knows our hearts better than anyone, better than we know our own.. and He loves us and wants to live in our hearts anyway. This is true always… but it makes me happy that during the next few months, people feel it strongly & daily. It is my prayer that we all carry it out through the entire year :) I love everyone I know, and hope that everyone had a blessed day!
