califoooorniiiaaaa, here we coooooome!

because i couldn't possibly catch up posting these through IG.

i usually use my big camera for blog posts, and post my phone photos through instagram, but i take so many pictures, and haven't been gramming much lately, so these need a place to be printed from!... maybe i need to bring back gram friday's on this blog, we'll see! anyhow, three cheers for a picture heavy post + mini updates, and i promise the scrollfest will be worth it, because there's a shot of lucy booty within it ;)

^^^from lately at the park! abel went on and on when we left about playing with uncle kieran!

^^^from when we all went to ed sheeran and then the fry's had their baby the next day :) also, ed... amen!

^^^i take so many morning and snuggly pictures, it makes ME even wonder if we ever get out of our jammies around here!

^^^lucy officially LOVES snuggling all the lovies in the house, and PEACHES fanatic! however, blueberries take the cake.

^^^back in june we went to steamboat, where i took a whopping 5 pictures! and below, a truck bed night with my two pals watching chris play soccer, our house is coming along, and a few hundred MORE cute shots of my littles because i'm near obsessed with them.

L U C Y...

smiles + sits up immediately when she wakes, like she was never asleep

does the cutest- hands on the sides of her head/face - thing, i can't stand it

got her first freckle, on her leg

wants to hold emerson... it's so precious and so strange for her being so young to want to hold her, but she reaches out like, here ya go, put her here, i've got her!

has the most precious toddle there ever was

is OBSESSED with sneaking into wherever abel is sleeping, just so you will chase her and she can giggle her face off

snuggles all the lovies she can get her hands on.

has the thickest + curliest eyelashes

is starting to follow + kicks balls

is very best friends with abel

loves to climb into things -- cabinets, abel's drum kit, baskets, you name it!

gives hugs AND kisses

is a bottomless pit + will eat nearly anything you give her except oatmeal (so far!) + always, always chooses fruit, veggies, or meat over starch or sweets (whaaaat?!)

i feel like i'm forgetting a million things, and i probably am. what i do remember + always will though, is the dose of sunshine that lucy is. she is so beautiful, and her sweet spirit beams so bright ALWAYS... that's why she's our sunshine girl. i can't believe we have a DAUGHTER. i'm so excited to continue watching her grow + learn + become who God intends her to be.

emerson takes the park.

the big news around here is that we gained another family member! another cousin to love + another niece to refrain from gobbling up :) she's the sweetest + watching my sister become a mother has truly been such a joy for me! she's done it with such grace + from day one has been a serious all star. last week, we were lucky enough to escort emerson to the park for her first time + show her how it's done. she mostly slept for the length of our stay (surprise!), but my kiddos played + were oh so curious about their new little friend. i'm so excited to watch her grow + to mother along side tay, life is truly wonderful.

horsetooth family hike!

over the weekend we hiked!

we'd talked about doing this for a while + the weekends would always be over before we knew it, but this past sunday, the kids were napped + fed and so we made our way to the reservoir to "climb some big rocks" as a family. soooo happy we checked this off of our summer bucket list, abel L O V E D it + was seriously a champion hiker. he never wanted to be picked up a single time + watchin' his cute little booty climb those rocks was by far a new favorite image i'd like to be forever burned into the forefront of my mind. lucy had a front row backpack seat + i high fived myself at the end for doing the whole thing with almost 20 pounds strapped to my chest. huzzah! SO thankful for chris + for his sense of adventure + NEED to be active! i hope both of our kids get even a 1/4 of his energy, so far it's looking that way... can i get an amen!?
