Sugar Hill: the abel housewife

me & this little cue ball have been hard at work over here!
i had been busy having a baby & things like that, & really just couldn't focus on anything but being pregnant & the little person i was so excited to meet! then i had my surgery & wasn't able to do much but lay around & heal from that, we moved, abel came early... you know. life stuff.
my point... project love sort of got thrown to the wayside, or came to a screeching halt... whichever you prefer. we are hard at work now though, & hoping to release new goodies late spring/early summer!
some old designs will be discontinued, favorites may be re-vamped or offered in new colors or styles... plus we will release brand spankin' designs AND a baby/kids line! you can already preview some of the kids line over at the Abel housewife shop! i am so excited about all of this. i feel like creativity has been waiting to get out, & with a whole new inspiration, it could end up being my favorite line yet. thank you guys SO much for sticking around & continuing to support us & project love during this hiatus! get excited for new designs, scarf up on any old ones that might not be coming back & start spreading the word!

so remember that new venture i spoke of? well, it’s finally up and running, & i am so happy with how it all came together! as many of you know, my mom owns two boutique shops here in fort collins. i used to work behind the counter at one of them, and run the cafe when it was open. since having abel though, i have not been back to work. that was not the original plan chris and i had talked about, but once he was here it was a whole new world & neither of us really wanted me going back to work, so that i could stay at home with him :)

thankfully, husband is willing to work his butt off & my mom is the most giving person there is, & ALWAYS takes care of her family no matter what. she was kind enough to sort of create a job for me that i would be able to do from home. it has been SO great & SO helpful for chris & i’s little family to still have two incomes & for me to be a stay at home, but working mama. she didn’t have the time to run two stores & all that comes with that PLUS do all of the internet, social media, networking stuff too, and that is something that i happen to be very good at, so i am in charge of everything twittery, facebooky, bloggy, blog design, email and more! that has been so great! ALSO, and this is my favorite part…. i am SO excited to announce that i have opened my own store in the new shop downtown(Walnut Creek) called “the Abel housewife”. i am so proud of it & praying that God blesses it. it is a little shop full of all things housewifey, young married, baby, homey, etc., complete with a kids line of clothing i have designed! AND here pretty soon, it will carry Project Love Apparel too, which is a milestone because so far, PLove has only had an online store! all exciting stuff! i am in the process of getting the online shop up & running, so that those of you who aren’t here in Colorado can shop too! until then though, here is a little sneak peak of some of the things in the shop!
