around these parts...

at a certain point i stopped picking up my real camera + only ever used my iphone. somewhere between two kids to three + not having enough hands, that little thing was just more manageable. i'm thankful for the many precious moments it has captured, but this all said, i miss taking regular photos on my real camera + displaying them here. so, i dusted it off + over the past few weeks have had it around + ready to capture snippets of life here + there around our home. enjoy.

A Shared Nursery || Part Two

I finally had a chance to snap some pictures of the kids current room layout + wanted to share it here before it changed again. I'm always shifting furniture around + shaking up spaces, and also trying any and everything i can to get our big kids to sleep through the night in their own beds haha!

We have two small bedrooms to spread the kids out in, but I wanted to offer a guest space/multipurpose/playroom in one of them + snuggle the kids all in one room together. i was actually surprised at how well it turned out + didn't feel crammed. Take a look!

Spring Morning Preview

It's still February + I know there will be at least a handful of snows, but Spring is coming guys, I can feel it! We've had a couple seventy degree days, spent time on our abandoned porch, enjoyed popsicles in the sun + played in the yard. I snapped these cute pics of the kids chasing each other the other morning BEFORE breakfast. It was so beautiful out + they are so cute! I hope you're having a wonderful week.

Tuesday Mix Tape!

Before this blog was 98% about our kiddos, it once upon a time had different little features on it, like little love letters + recipes for happy + he and she + MIX TAPES! While I can promise you that the children + the family posts will live on + continue to be the meat of this blog, it feels like time to revive some of those old topics regularly. I'll start with a mix tape, or playlist if you will. The past few weeks I've had one morning to myself, at my house... just me, my house + music at ear piercing levels. I always always resort to elevation worship, because nothing feels better than worshipping loud, being brought to chills or tears + feeling surrounded with Holy Spirit goodness... BUT lately i've been trying to reach beyond my regularly scheduled programming + listen to some different feels.. that, and my dancing shoes have been calling. Onward, this week's mix tape!

Our Valentines Brunch!

I keep calling this "Brunch"... Brunch sounds so cute. It was breakfast guys, at 10. Anyways, if you remember, I loooooove to throw parties, I love festivity, I love good food + decorations + people gathering together! I love making holidays extra special for my kiddos + always dreamed I'd be the mom who would do special things on special days that they'd always remember. I haven't been perfect with this, but the effort is there! 

We had cousins over + put together little bundles of flowers for our friends. Abel wanted to wear his bowtie + Lucy her bow... seriously so fun. Don't wait for the next big party you have to put together to do something fun or special... we had been. Baby Showers + Bridal Brunches are great, but going all out for your family on a smaller scale is even more rewarding + way less stressful haha!
