a very happy birthday to my little sister!

life is better with sisters & i think my older sister and i would both agree that life is especially great having ashton as a sister. she completes the trio of grant girls & my days are happier with her in them. praise You, praise You sweet Lord for blessing me with her. she is my best friend & knows me like no one else! 22... it's a great age.

moved again (back home to colorado)

dressed up as thing 2 for halloween

started this blog

moved... again (to charlotte)

met lifelong friends like i had never known before

& before 22 was over, crossed "giant cupcake birthday cake" off of my bucket list of "littles"

 

ashi, i don't know what 22 holds for you... i know you'll celebrate you're first wedding anniversary & become a mama! & that, to me... sounds like a good start.

a day in the sun… kinda

it's summertime. we sort of skipped over the whole idea of spring & went straight to high temps & lots of sunscreen. i'm alright with that. there's lots of fun to be had in the summer & it puts us that much closer to fall, which is the start of the best time of year if you ask me.

we spent the day outside recently & i had every intention of lounging in the sun & getting my tan on, but when this guy wants to be held & he needs to be in the shade... well you know how that goes.
such a cutie.
i'd choose pasty skin a million times over if it means spending precious moments with him in my lap. & it seems that's exactly what's in store this summer. hooray for life & hooray for this little joy that's been added to mine! you're the best abel. i'm glad you got my skin too... you make ultra white look dang good.

okay, so it's not really named after mcdreamy.

dempsey's is my absolute favorite breakfast place in all of fort collins... & i've had a lot of breakfast. i've tried branching out & going to different restaurants, but have yet to leave as satisfied as i do when leaving this little gem. pumpkin pecan waffle? yes PLEASE. or if your feeling something savory.... biscuits & gravy. i'm getting hungry for their butter with a side of hashbrowns as i write this. it's so delicious, so filling, & so underrated if you ask me. THIS place should have a line around the block every. day. of the. week! anyhow... rachel was in town, we love her, so it made it THAT much better. stop in if you're ever in the area! & happy friday to you!

yay! couldn't be happier for my little sister & her husband! a baby girl?! so sweet. abel's going to look after her & be her bessssttt buddy.

it's going to be so awesome to see a completely different experience of pregnancy, & child! especially with someone so close to me! i can't wait to meet baby schmeeckle & have our family expand even bigger!

well hello.

oh hello there june (4th)! crazy how fast you sped into town!

june is a happy month. there's just something about it.

it officially means that snow is over (in colorado) until fall, the flowers are bright & beautiful, there are quite a few special birthdays in my life & june 1st is baby day! you know, baby day... that special day that changed your life forever? the day that a little test you took said PREGNANT, and all of your dreams changed. yea, that day. it's a great one.

so we love june.

summer is officially here!

popsicles & picnics. green grass & hot sun. freckled skin (for me) & tans (for others.. husband mostly // we are different races in the summer). barbeques & lake days. air conditioning & drive-in movies. tank tops & bare feet. long walks & late nights. you know... the good stuff.

i love it when the seasons change. atleast for a little while... savoring the sweetness of summer while it lasts & excited because it's abel's first! fall will be here before we know it & we'll be back to cooler days & cozy-ing up! until then...
