little debbie who?

prepare yourself for some pretty exciting news & a few mouth watering pictures. i am so very excited to announce that i am the official betty crocker, in charge of all of the delicious baked goods at plum creek cafe! my SUPER creative, smart & talented mother owns a vintage shop here in fort collins, called vines vintage market. she hasn’t been open a year & has already expanded TWO times, tripled in size & had tremendous amounts of success… yea, i’m bragging on her, but it is AWESOME what God has built in her life & allowed her to be a part in! this all being said, she is now opening a cafe within the store!

plum creek cafe.
for the past few years it has been a dream of mine to open up my own bakeshop, but with our gypsy lifestyle it was something i knew i’d need to wait on and do down the road. so, when my mom decided to put in the cafe she asked me to do all of the baking while we are here in colorado! it is the perfect opportunity to try out SO many of the recipes and ideas that i have had in my mind & make them a reality! i am SO excited!

so, when are we gonna get to the mouth watering pictures??
oh, now :)
just wanted to give you a little sneak peek of a few ideas i’ve got for opening weeks menu! enjoy!

cry baby.

greetings from tuesday morning at 5:30 a.m.!
my day started an hour ago with a good old fashioned allergy attack, boo.
I won't lie, I've been a little bit of a cry baby this week, complete with a few 60 second meltdowns. people acting poorly, waking up one day and the button on your jeans seems tight because oh yea... you are currently growing another human, general feelings of being overwhelmed, allergy attacks. things that normally would earn a little complaining are meriting tears. i shouldn't complain, or be a little cry baby, because I DO know that people have way bigger problems, but honestly, it's just been a bit of a waterworks past few days. i must be pregnant or something...

I am realizing more than ever though that sometimes a quick cry is the best thing you can do in a moment. It is actually more often than not, the cure. So I now say, "hold on, I think I just need to cry for one second & then I'll be okay." and then I am. And secondly, I'm really thankful for the perfect (in my eyes :)) husband, and an awesome family that gets me. It just makes life good.

HAPPY TUESDAY!

*footnote* APOLOGIES for all of the proper capitalization... Bleh, blogging from the iPad corrects it, uncool. And TWO: I had a dream tonight that we went for our ultrasound that's coming up in TWO weeks... It was a girl. Hmmm... Wonder what that means?

to husband.

You know you picked a good one when ...

1) After almost nine years, you still can't get enough time with them & you miss them the second they walk out the door... Which usually leads to a little phone call, just to say I love you again

2) You've dreamed of having a girl baby for your whole life but you kind of hope a little bit, that you're having a boy baby so it can look just like him :)

It's always a surprise when I find myself loving husband even more than the day before... NOT because he's not perfectly wonderful, handsome, kind & loving... I'm surprised because even after all this time, whenever I feel like I love him the max amount possible and like I couldn't squeeze out even one more drop, it happens again. My heart grows bigger. I love him more. He's my best friend in the whole world & it makes me so happy that God picked him for me! Every day I feel like the luckiest girl in the world. Thank you hunny :) I love you!

sidenote: Fridays are usually baby update days, but I mean... An onion? Other than the fact that it's the current size of our little bebe at 17 weeks... They mostly just smell, make your eyes water, and in my opinion, shouldn't be mixed in with a lot of foods that people think they should be. But we are thankful for growth over here! A healthy baby, and an official bump (or, awkward from the front bump, as I like to call it) so here's to onion sized babies! all good news!

Enjoy your weekend!
