Happy Birthday to my sweet friend Kala. She and my little sister met in kindergarten & became best friends. Two peas really. I am so thankful for their friendship, because it placed Kala in my life as well & gave me the opportunity to be friends with her too! I love her sweet nature & loving heart. She has been there for so many of the huge events in mine & my family's life and I am so grateful for her. Can't believe she is 21 today!!!! Holy guac! LaborDATE weekend :) i love my husband.

we had the greatest day today.

we went to church last night, so we were able to sleep in this morning & i am all for that. chris cooked us a delicious breakfast & we watched an Elevation Podcast to start our day off right!

i love days with no agendas.

later, we did three of my favorite things. went to caribou, slurp. went to the park. & saw a dollar movie. who doesn't get excited about dollar theater movies? SUCH a blessed day.

great conversation, simplicity, love.

okay... so i came across this photo on pinterest... and i've kinda got my heart set. like... lit up like a kid on Christmas morning, heart set.

here's the bad news.

i ran it by husband, and before the words even came out of my mouth... he started shaking his head and saying no, no! you would have thought that i asked him to dress like a girl or a sheep or something... 

THIS costume has given me SO much grief. I don't see what the big deal is? Everyone i know thought it was the best costume everrrrrr, and he scored MAJOR fiance points with me! Not to mention, it's been like 2 years! But sadly, I have apparently lost my costume picking privileges. He said he is not going to dress up like an animal again, EVER. ugh. we'll see about that..
