tuesday thoughts.

tuesdays are typically my least favorite day of the week. theres not necessarily anything bad about them, they are just usually rushed. i have trouble getting things done, or really even started for that matter when i know i'm on a time crunch. not to mention, they follow monday, which is one of my favorite days of the week ((i know, i know... i differ from majority of the working world on this one)) but for me, it's pretty much like an extra day in my weekend. come june though, my entire schedule will change AKA clear... and truth be told... i'm not mad about it.

 

 

i can't wait for picnics & sunbathing. bare feet & early dinners. soccer games & swimming pools. the sun pouring in my window && the smell of fresh cut grass. having endless amounts of time to love on my husband, or spend some QT with my bests. i am excited for change & new directions. i am thankful for seasons! both in the weather && in life! to know that they will ALWAYS change, that we are never stuck in the same one for too long. God is so good in that way. He knows JUST how long we should be in a specific time or "season of life"-- and i am thankful for that.


anyway, yesterday SUCKED. woke up to a gorgeous man, went for a little jog, and then layed out alllllll afternoon :))

 a little father//son love sesh.

 harlow's first time in a hammock.

 she loved it.

 fresh faced & freckled.

the feeling of a fresh face is just glorious.

in fact, it is probably on my top 10 list of 'best things ever'.

squeaky clean.

no make up.

this is coming from a girl who doesn't wear much make up to begin with. i don't use foundation.. just blush, eye make-up & the occasional lip gloss. but the amount that i appreciate a fresh face, you would think i was a kardashian or something (no hate here. love them. just sayin')

the freedom to rub your eyes. cry. sleep.. gah, it truly is a wonderful thing.

what's on my heart lately? babies.

it's kind of hard to NOT have babies on your heart, when everyone you know either has one or is having one! they are so so precious & the fever has set in. husband and i don't have any plans of when we will be having our own, we just trust that when God says we are ready, He will bless us with a little & we will be ecstatic! when i think about having a family with chris & becoming a mommy... i can't help but smile from ear to ear :)

sweet potatoes, or anything my parents cook & husband's mom's seafood pasta that we eat as a CHRISTmas eve tradition!

hmmm... going to my nana's on CHRISTmas eve, with all of my aunts, uncles, cousins, etc!

8. have you ever had a white CHRISTmas?

yes! the last one was in 2007 :) best CHRISTmas ever!

9. do you open a gift on Christmas Eve?

yes! always have!

10. how do you decorate your Christmas tree?

colored and white lights, all of my CHRISTmas ornaments from growing up (my grandparents gave every grandchild one for CHRISTmas every year :)) and a bunch of other cute ornaments!

L.O.V.E. it!!! can't get enough :)

12. can you ice skate?

yessss!

13. do you remember your favorite gift? 

hmmm, i love all of the gifts i have been given :) i am not a 'gift love'... so the sentimental ones are always what warm my heart the most!

spending time with loved ones!! Jesus! and baking :)

what isn't?! sweeeeeet tooooooth :)

amy grant CHRISTmas cd :) and baking with my mom & sisters!

for now, a gingerbread man :) we haven't gotten our 'married topper' yet :)

Thanksgiving all year.

Yes, Thanksgiving has passed. No more turkey or lounging around all day in our pjs! However, just because the holiday has passed doesn't mean the thanks has! it is important to give thanks all year don't you think? I am thankful for SO much! from the little things, to the most wonderous things in life... like my husband & family or the grace & love of my Savior!
